“Nobody is bothered about an institution more than its alumni." - N. R. Narayana Murthy Our alumni are our best ambassadors in the corporate world. The alumni committee functions to strengthen the bond between alumni and the alma matter.
Alard Alumni Association: The Alard Alumni Association is a registered society under Societies Registration Act 1860. Registration date of Alard Alumni Association is 26/4/2010.The AIMS Alumni Association has members comprising of Alumni & Alard representatives as trustees. The association has its own memorandum of association with clear aims & objectives documented for it. The association is a platform for various bonding & sharing activities between the AIMS alumnus & the Institute. The association has its own bank account & PAN number for the operational purposes. AIMS pass out students can become members by making application in prescribed form at very nominal fees.

Involvement of alumni :

Alumni are a rich source of experience and corporate happening. To make available, this resource to students, AIMS ‘s alumni contributes to Academics as follows:

The alumni constantly come and interact with students of the Institute as a part of CLDP programmes. (Normally on Saturdays and Sundays).
Some Alumni are actively involved in the placement activity of the Institute.
The alumni conduct Mock Interviews, in which they interact with the students, and help them to overcome their problems/lacunae in facing the Interviews, by giving them feedback.
Curriculum revision and activity planning are deeply influence by Alumni interaction and feedback. Alumni are a part of Board of Studies.
They also help the students in summer internship by evaluating them on viva-voce and giving feedback.

Methodology to connect with Alumni and its implementation :

Alard Alumni Cell: The Alumni Cell strives to bridge the gap between Alard Institute of Management Sciences, Pune (AIMS) and its esteemed alumni community by facilitating, coordinating & communicating various activities, seminars, alumni meets. Alumni create the Institute’s reputation, which relies in large part on how successful graduates are in the real world. We aim to connect, inform and engage the alumni, the students and the institute with each other for the purpose of generating a multifaceted support for AIMS. Our ambassadors to the corporate world, AIMS alumni continue to bring laurels to their alma mater, though the accolades they garner in their chosen fields and organizations. AIMS Alumni Cell works in conjunction with the student administration bodies and is therefore constantly in touch with the needs and wants of the students. It connects the students with the alumni, giving them a chance to interact with some of the most eminent personalities in all fields of work. It works towards making their learning experience more holistic.
Alumni Mentoring Programme (AMP) – Advice and Perspective help graduates to set goals and track progress for life. The alumni cell launched their unique program called, “Alumni Mentoring Program”. A well designed and long-term mentoring connection with those people who were once in their shoes – “The Alumni” will lead to a confusion-free decision making process.
Annual Alumni Meet: Alumni meet is held every year in the month of March. The alumni participate in panel discussion on relevant topics for the benefit of the students. This interaction is useful from the point of view of getting feedback from Alumni on the curriculum and placement opportunities available in the economy. Such sessions are of great importance to the institution and its students. On the same day we hold alumni gathering in which informal interaction between the alumni and the faculty takes place extensively. The alumni meet features recognising the exemplary alumni and entrepreneurs from the pass out batch through various awards namely the Brand of Alard , Asset of Alard and Star of Alard. The feedback obtained from the alumni in such sessions receives serious considerations at the level of the Institution.
Database: Periodic review of Alumni Database is done which is undertaken by the Alumni committee members. Database Updation is a critical task as it involves documenting the company profile, designation, location of the alumni and the necessary info that is required for the current batch.
